The Value & The Costs of
Specialty Kitchen Materials & Finishes
The Value
In older homes from the 1950s and 1960s, it wasn't uncommon to find kitchens secluded from the rest of the living space. Contrastingly, in our contemporary designs, we view the kitchen as the heart of the home. As such, we strategically plan traffic flow to encourage gatherings in these areas, fostering the creation of cherished memories.
To craft the most welcoming, practical, and aesthetically pleasing kitchens, we may suggest incorporating unique materials or finishes. These enhancements can bolster durability, minimize upkeep, or introduce a distinctive visual appeal.
The Costs
Designing a stunning, practical, and distinctive kitchen doesn't always require splurging on high-end materials. Many standard options can fulfill aesthetic and functional needs without inflating costs. However, there are instances where standard materials may not fully meet the design vision or functional requirements. This is where customization comes into play.
There are several reasons for opting for unique finishes. It could be to harmonize with other areas of the home, enhance durability in high-traffic zones, mitigate fingerprints in households with children, extend longevity in regions with harsh climates, or simply to impart a distinctive and lasting impression.
While these customized features offer undeniable benefits, they often incur additional expenses due to their limited availability and the extra coordination necessary for procurement.
